Carbonate Mineral
Calcium Carbonate
CaCO₃
Manufactured from high-purity limestone. Ground to controlled particle sizes with narrow distribution curves. Each batch undergoes sieve analysis, brightness measurement, and moisture testing before dispatch.
Key Benefits
Why formulators choose Calcium
01
Partial TiO₂ replacement at 3–5x loading ratio — directly reduces paint formulation cost without sacrificing whiteness
02
Consistent D97 particle cut batch-to-batch — predictable viscosity and flow in paint and coating systems
03
High brightness (≥ 92–95 ISO) — suitable for white and light pastel paint systems without additional brighteners
04
Chemically inert and pH-stable — compatible with waterborne, solvent-based, and UV-curable binder systems
05
Widest grade range (10–150 µm) across our portfolio — a single supplier for plastics, paints, cement, and agriculture

FAQ
Common Buyer Questions
Questions we receive from procurement and technical teams before a first order. If your question isn’t listed, contact us directly.
Ask a Question →What micron grade is best for exterior emulsion paint?
LM-CC-20 (20 µm D97) is the most widely used for exterior emulsion paints — fine enough for good film integrity, coarse enough for cost efficiency. LM-CC-10 is used where a smoother finish or higher TiO₂ replacement level is the priority.
Can calcium carbonate partially replace TiO₂ in paint?
Yes — it functions as an extender pigment, typically at 3–5 parts CaCO₃ per part TiO₂ replaced, depending on target gloss and opacity. It does not match TiO₂'s hiding power but significantly reduces formulation cost in interior and mid-grade exterior paints.
What is the difference between GCC and PCC?
We supply Ground Calcium Carbonate (GCC) — mechanically ground from limestone rock. PCC (Precipitated Calcium Carbonate) is chemically synthesised with tighter shape control but at higher cost. GCC covers the majority of paint, paper, cement, and plastics applications.
Is a sample available before placing a bulk order?
Yes — we dispatch 1–2 kg samples with a Certificate of Analysis on request. Contact us with your required grade code or target micron specification and we will arrange sample dispatch.
